The Polo, manufacture by Volkswagen is a supermini that has been on sale since 1975. Up until 2008 there had been 4 generations, or mark, of Polo released. Early March 2009 the Mark 5, or 5th generation Polo was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and is expected to achieve 5 stars in the EuroNCAP ratings.

VW Polo, Certainly no holes in this car!!

Bought my VW Polo Match (red) 1.4 in July 2008, after having a Citroen C2 SensoDrive (never again) First thing for me was a bit of a "downsize" in fixtures and fittings as my little Citroen really had a lot of high tech stuff, however it was awful, and I mean awful to drive.
My VW Polo is a dream to drive, of course I had to get used to driving a manual car after driving an automatic for 18 months, but hey it is like riding a bike, you never forget. My Polo quality made (well it is from Germany and I do LOVE the German high standards) and is comfortable, economical and more than fits the bill for my low mileage.
It has plenty of room and the boot is perfect for all those shopping bags ladies!!
So it VW for me from now on and thank you for letting me enjoy driving again!

VW Polo 1.2 (65) S, great used car

In these times of austerity, downsizing is an increasingly wise choice. But that doesn't have to come at the expense of quality and refinement.Opt for VW's cracking 1.2 petrol unit, preferably in 65ps guise, and you have yourself one of the best small cars of recent years.
Even after six years of daily commuter use, my Polo is still rattle and creak free snd rides better than newer cars I've driven.
