The first incarnation of the Vectra to appear in Britain was back in 1988, however the car was carrying the Cavalier name badge. The Cavalier name was replaced with Vectra in 1995 when the seconda generation model was released. In 2002 what was to be the finally generation of the Vectra was released. Production of tis car has now stopped and is being replaced by the Insignia.
The Vectra was raced by Vauxhall's racing devision - VXR in the British Touring Car Championship in 2007, 2008 & 2009.

Good Family Car

The Vectra is a good family car loads of room and big boot space. We have never had any major problems although, a common problem is the cruise control switch, which just seams to pack in after a while, it is cheap to fix though. I would say it guzzles the petrol compared to similar cars of the same size but I would recommend this car to families.Miss N Jones
