The Auris was released by Toyota in 2007 and is available as a 3 or 5 door hatchback. It shares the same platform as the Corrola and was designed as a replacement for that particular model in Europe. The name Auris comes from the latin word for gold, which is aurum.

A good car for what I paid for it - can be a bit thirsty at times and would like more miles from a tank of fuel but that might be down to the way its driven!Surprising amount of space for what I would class as a medium family car. Also had no issues at all with reliability and performance is okay for the size if engine and power available.
Interior is good, everything in easy reach although gearstick position may take some getting used to at first.
I would happily own another Auris, although I think I'd be looking at a diesel or - price permitting - the new Hybrid if the cost of them drops.
