With streets populated by cars, driven by status and prestige, maybe it is time to consider the Suzuki swift sport. Given that it costs £11,500, depending on deals available, I found it great value for money, and surprisingly rare on the London streets.
I bought one in June 2008, and have only seen 5 others, whizzing around the city.

It seems to draw unusual attention because of this, which more than makes up for the fact that the Suzuki badge does not seem desirable in many peoples eyes.
Group 9 insurance, and a zippy accelerating 1.6 vtec engine, often seduces me into driving it a little rapidly.

Fully kitted out with alloys and keyless entry, air con, and a compliment of 7 air bags, it is great value for money, considering these items are always added extras.
around town its agile and light, although the steering becomes a little heavy when parking, but about right when driving faster.
I really like the looks, which are a pleasant departure from the old fuddy duddy image which have always blighted the brand.

Although fairly modest in performance, the engine loves to be revved, as the urgency comes from higher up the rev range. This give the little swift spirit and zest, which continues to thrill when the swift is chucked into bends, rewarding you with a great chassis set up and grip. Be careful however as the swift can be a little tail happy when braking hard into corner, or during lift off throttling.

All in all a great value fun package that i think rewards you for thinking outside the fiesta, mini, arena!!
