Perfect First Car, No Regrets on the Choice

Car hunting, when you've just passed your driving test isn't the easiest of jobs, considering most insurance companies don't want you driving anything too big, too powerful or which you can put add on body kits and the such like on.

Step forward the Skoda Fabia. It wouldn't be considered your normal choice for a first car, but it avoids being part of the norm with Corsas and Saxo's, while the insurance companies will like you, and the road tax isn't too bad either.

It comfortably sits four people, despite the relative lack of size and the 1.4 litre petrol engine revs well, and it quite happy cruising along at 70mph.

The boot size is a let down however, but the rear seats do fold down to offer additional space where required.

Only downside is the lack of air conditioning - this meaning that it can take a few minutes before the front windscreen is clear.

Overall, if you want a small in town car or you've just passed your driving test, the Skoda Fabia should be a car to grab your attention straight away, if you wish to stand out from the crown yet have a car which can be respected.
