The Nissan Note is a mini MPV that has been on sale in the UK since 2006. Built at Nissan's Sunderland plant, the Note is available in three trim levels, each of which is available with a choice of three engines. Alongside 1.4 and 1.6 litre engines, a 1.5 litre diesel is also available with the model having been a popular seller, especially on the second hand market.

A tale of a bumpy ride

Don't buy this car unless you live in a city full of flat roads. Anywhere else and you'll feel every bump. The wheels are too small, the suspension too springy and the power steering not so hot. The result ? Well if you are going on a 'B' road you'll find the handling is poor as the steering wheel develops a mind of its own and jiggles all over the place every time you go over a bad surface and especially if you brake at the same timer. In other word the handling is very poor and reminds me of an old Montego I used to have.Mr Rob Stone

Nippy for town

Wanted a nippy car for running around town with economy. Engine noise is a little off putting but economy is great, gone is the 30mpg now have 50+. Lots of room, can get a 6 footer in back, luggage space is a bit restricted but have auto windscreen wipers and auto lights. I feel safer in this car than I did my last rav4, as road handling is nippy and smart with ESP. Great car love it.Mr P Gray
