The 3.0-litre 177-hp engine formed the backbone of the Mercedes Benz 300 class, although more powerful engines were available in certain models. Standard equipment such as power door locks, power windows, and driver's-side airbags added to the luxury image of the cars, while options such as durable leather seats and sunroofs only improved on that image.

Lovely car!
1988 (F)
I absolutely love the 300CE, it's a beast of a car and although it drinks the fuel a bit it's brilliant fun. 3 litre engine with rear wheel drive is always fun! It's got electric seats, mirrors, sunroof etc which is great for a 20 year old car I reckon. It even has a CPU? 20 years old!! Cool.
If you want an old classic then I'd recommend the 300CE any day - it looks great, drives great and makes you feel like the king of the world - love it!!
