MG

MG
Originally formed in 1920, MG was best known for producing two-seater sports cars such as the MGB - which remains a favourite with classic car enthusiasts in the modern day. The MG name disappeared when the marque was part of British Leyland but was then revived as part of the Austin Rover Group, with ownership of MG eventually passing to BMW. BMW then sold off MG which became part of the MG Rover Group in 2000 but the company then collapsed in 2005 with huge losses. MG has since been relaunched with a new identity as MG Motor UK.
