Lexus have sold the IS since 1999 as an entry level luxury car / compact executive car. The IS, standing for intellegent sport according to Lexus, comes in a performance V8 sedan version and hardtop convertible as of 2008.

I purchased my Lexus as a replacement for my Xtype Jaguar. My first and only fault I found with the Lexus is the cabin space and legroom in the back. When you put a car seat in a car you lose so much space and the person sat in the front passenger seat you just hope they are not 6ft tall.Otherwise this car practically drives itself. Long journeys are really comfortable and considering I drive over 50k miles a year this is an important factor for me the driving position is excellent but again if you are 6ft tall or above I think you may have issues.Mr D Wood

Simple luxury with good performance and returning a more than acceptable MPG. Attention to detail surrounds you, Not the most spacious in the back but that aside, the rest of the car is difficult to fault. Yes, others may excel in one area or another but this car offers all round top results and will not disappointMr A Jessop
