Based on the 1985 Honda Accord, the Honda Legend was originally developed in a joint venture with the Austin Rover Group and was a twin of the Rover 800 series. The Legend is now in its fourth generation and became Japan's Car of the Year in 2004-5. The UK version of the Legend comes with a rather racy 3.5i VTEC V6.

Brought this car back in September '11. Was released by Honda as opposition to BMW, Mercedes, and Audi, but never quite caught on. It's a bit dull looking, and when it was new costing £40k, it needed to be a bit more inspirational to fire up the imagination of prospective purchasers. It never sold well, and is now discontinued.Depreciation is huge, but that's good news for second hand buyers (me!!!). My two year old model cost £15k, and you get a huge amount of car for your money.
3.5 litre V6 pumping out 350bhp, limited to 155mph. It doesn't feel overly sporty, but that suits me. It has all wheel drive, as well as Honda's Super Handling technology (whatever that is). The cabin in luxurious, with lots of buttons and gizmos to play with.
Six speed auto box, changeable to manual with 'flappy paddles'. Seriously loud multi speaker Bose stereo with six CD autochanger. Electric window blinds (useless but cool). Rear parking camera (keeps my wife out of the bushes).
The ride is a bit firmer than I would have liked, but I can live with that. Economy? What's that!!! 15mpg around town, 25mpg on a run. It cruises the motorways like a dream.
Not a perfect car by any means, however, despite being dull, firm and thirsty, I love it.
