The Civic is Honda's compact hatchback and has been a best-seller for the manufacturer since its launch back in 1973. The ninth generation Civic, launched in 2012, includes a wide range of new features such as a Collision Mitigation Braking System, 'Magic Seats' which fold in a range of configurations to give up to 1,210 litres of boot space and - on the 2.2 i-DTEC model - a front grille which adjusts at higher speeds to improve aerodynamics and reduce fuel consumption.

Had it from new and serviced regularly. It has broken down every year and this year every week. Always had Toyotas before now and guess what I am going to buy next?Mrs S Rees

Brilliant car
2006 (56)
I've had this car for over a year. bought it used with 28k on the clock. I have to be honest, its an awesome car to drive and exceptionally reliable. I do a lot of long journeys in this car and I must say that the economy is definitely one of the strong points. The pros:
1. Economy is decent, I average about 42.5 mpg driving within town and 45 to 47 cruising on the motorway at 80mph.
2. Acceleration is really good if you know how to use your gears as this is a Naturally aspirated engine so there isn't much low down torque.
3. Really good equipment level. I have the EX so it has all the extras which are really useful.
4. Space is really good for a car this size. I had an Audi A4 prior to this and this is roomier by far.
The not so good:
1. Body rattling is an issue. The boot cover keeps making annoying rattling sounds but nits nothing you cant live with
2. The ride as mentioned earlier is a bit on the firm side.
Conclusion:
As you can see there are more pros than cons on this car and I would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to buy a reliable car for a small family.

Honda Civic 1.5 LSi

Great little car that has been about as used and abused as a 60 year old prossy. Hardly spent any money on it in the 5 years I've owned it. It's done 140,000 miles now and still going strong...not bad I'm sure you'll agree. All the electrics still work, drives like a dream and the paints good. Enough said. Best value car I've ever owned.
