The Ford Fusion was launched in 2002 and was billed by Ford as the stretched Ford Fiesta. The press it has met with has been less than favourable. It has been called such things as 'A Fiesta on slits' and 'A Ford Fiesta, in a hat'. However, despite this sales in the UK for this car remain strong, with Ford stating it accounts for 15% of its car sales in this market.
