Fiat is an Acronym for Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino which translates to Italian Automobile Factory of Turin. Founded in 1899 by a group of investors, one of which was Giovanni Agnelli, the company also specialises in manufacturing tanks and aircraft. The Fiat Group also owns a number of other marques - including Ferrari.
