Introduced in 1999, the X5 was BMW's first Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) or 4x4. Initial the X5 was available as a manual or automatic transmission, however the manual transmission was dropped in 2006. BMW market the X5 as an SAV or Sports Activity Vehicle rather than an SUV, to highlight its onroad abilities.

BMW X5 3.0 SD - 7 seat option
2008 (08)
Bought my X5 in April 2008. Opted for the 7 seat version as we have a growing family. Easy to change from 5 to 7 and then back again.I love my car although I have had several problems with it but they are mainly down to the dealership service department.
The 3.0SD is only available as an Automatic.
Does about 23MGP although am sure it is capable of more - I just don't do the miles to raise it.
