Audi can trace its history back to 1899, but the first Audi car was launched in 1910. The German manufacturer was part of Auto Union before a gradual buy-out by VW - which now holds a majority share. Famous for its advertising tagline 'Vorsprung durch Technik', Audi produces a wide range of cars from the A1 supermini all the way up to the R8 sportscar.
