Launched in 2006, the Audi R8 appears to be a more aggressive version of the TT but shares its underpinnings with the Lamborghini Gallardo - making it a serious player in the sportscar world. The car is available with two engine configurations, although the standard 4.2 litre V8 is still capable of doing over 187mph and can hit 0-62mph in 4.6secs. The R8 GT, the quickest Audi ever, is powered by a 5.2 litre V10, can do 0.62mph in just 3.6 seconds and falls just shy of hitting the magic 200mph mark. There is little surprise that the R8 has won numerous awards since its launch, including Performance Car of the Year from What Car? and Car of the Year from both Top Gear and Fifth Gear. The Audi R8 is a two seater mid-engine sports car, which has been sold by Audi since 2006. The R8 is available with two engine configurations. The first is the standard 4.2 L V8 and the second is a whopping 5.2 V10 that manages 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds. Clean underpants anyone?
