Launched in 2008, the MiTo is Alfa Romeo's rival to the MINI, although its somewhat distinctive looks aren't to everyones tastes. The three-door car comes with a range of petrol and diesel engines, with the 1.4 Turbo MultiAir being awarded 'International Best New Engine of the Year' in 2010. As well as Alfa Romeo's DNA system, which allows the driver to adapt a series of settings to suit their driving style and the road conditions, the MiTo can also come with Alfa Romeo's TCT gearbox, which operates with a double dry clutch to produce smoother gear changes and reduce fuel consumption.

An exclusive car for an affordable price...

You'll be hard to find a car in its price range, thats gives you the sense of exclusivity and specialness that the Alfa MiTo gives you. Lets face it, all the other hatchbacks in its class are as common as muck, so when you park the MiTo in the local supermarket car park, it stands out and people take notice. That thanks to its beautiful, but sporty and ever so slightly unique looks also. It has recently aquired some small quality issues with trim etc, but i think thats down to the poor British roads combined with the slightly harsh ride of the Mito on 17"s. The comfortable seats make up for the ride though and the latest models have upgraded suspension. It sticks to the road like glue and has a sporty soundtrack even though mines only 95bhp! Great value when compared to the others in its class, since the MiTo comes with lots of extras as standard depending on what spec you go for. You should see more of these on the road! :)

A small car with a genuine big car feel. Fantastic, individual looks matched by an attractive and quality interior.Ride is on the firm side but just adds to the sporty feel. The DNA system works welll by altering the throttle and braking response for winter, normal, or performance modes. The instruments can be a little unclear at night and the computer is a little over complicated.
Fuel consumption is generally good with the unique "multi-air" engines.
If you yearn to be different from the crowd (mini's, peugots, etc) then this car will set you apart.

With Fiat engineering ...Passion & Soul combined with hips like Tina Turner's ,the MiTo is without doubt the sexiest looking hatchback out there to date...
Yes, there is always that gut feeling that she may not always want to perform being an old timer in the grand scheme of things ... But she never fails to !
Simply the best with a grin factor of 8/10
